Saint Louis, Missouri– Penn State University Esports Club proudly announces its strategic partnership with Bye Blue Light, a significant move in safeguarding the well-being of its esports players.
As esports continues to gain momentum on campus, so does the university's commitment to providing top-tier gaming facilities and ensuring the health and wellness of its players. In collaboration with Campus Recreation, Esports Supply, GGCircuit, AVI-SPL, Student Affairs Information Technology, and Enterprise Network and Communication Services, the Penn State Esports Club has created an immersive gaming environment.
The newly unveiled Esports Center, located in the Mary B. White Building, boasts a spacious 3,000-square-foot area designed to accommodate up to 60 individuals. The facility, engineered by HOK, offers an impressive array of features, including:
- 55 MSI Trident Gaming Computers
- 1 Playstation 5
- 1 Xbox X
- 1 Nintendo Switch
- 3 65-inch televisions for PC game casting
- 3 86-inch televisions for console gaming
Furthermore, all games and accessories will be available for free checkout. To support the development of gaming student organizations, a dedicated coaching area will be available starting in the spring. Penn State students and Campus Recreation members will have access to 10 hours of PC gaming per week and unlimited console play.
