Dr. Berdy brings a wealth of expertise and experience to our mission of raising awareness about the negative effects of blue light and its impact on people of all ages.

A distinguished graduate of Duke University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Zoology and Economics with magna cum laude honors, Dr. Berdy's educational journey exemplifies his commitment to excellence. He continued his pursuit of knowledge at St. Louis University School of Medicine, graduating with cum laude honors, and embarked on a remarkable career in ophthalmology.

Dr. Berdy's dedication to the field of ophthalmology has been nothing short of extraordinary. His postgraduate training included a residency at St. Louis University, a cornea and external disease fellowship at the Kellogg Eye Center of the University of Michigan, and a subsequent cornea and ocular allergy fellowship at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary and the Schepens Eye Research Institute of Harvard University.

Throughout his career, Dr. Berdy has explored various facets of eye health. Notably, he developed a keen interest in dry eye disease and delved into the histopathologic effects of preservatives on the ocular surface, as assessed by scanning electron microscopy. Furthermore, his contributions extend to pioneering clinical studies that evaluate immune mediators of inflammation in anterior uveitis and allergic conjunctivitis.

Dr. Berdy's extensive knowledge and dedication to the field make him an invaluable asset to the Bye Blue Light team. His expertise will be instrumental in shedding light on the harmful effects of blue light radiation and the long-term consequences it can have on both youth and adults. We are particularly excited to have Dr. Berdy join us in our mission to raise awareness among the esports community, including high school, collegiate, professional, and amateur esports teams.
